Supported living

Larkstone’s supported living services in Bideford and Ilfracombe,Devon, are delivered in complexes of self-contained studio and apartment accommodation support requirements. Service users living in this accommodation hold their own assured shorthold tenancies agreements with a private landlord, with tenancies renewable at six-monthly intervals.

Support requirements vary according to each individual. The support for adults with disabilities and other complex needs form a constructive  stepping stone towards greater independence, for example for people who have been living at home with family or in residential homes, and who would benefit from more individualised person centered support by our trained staff.

In these supportive environments, we focus on developing and maximising people’s abilities, identifying and enabling opportunities, and encouraging interaction and engagement with others around them and the wider community.

We add value to our supported living services by offering a wide range of day activities, on a seven-day-a-week basis. These include our work training programme, which is designed to build practical skills and enhance employability.
