Day activities programme

At Larkstone Supported Living in Devon, we add value to our supported living and outreach services for adults with disabilities and complex needs with a comprehensive, in-house day activities programme.

This programme enables clients from our supported living services in Bideford and Ilfracombe, as well as clients we support with outreach services, to come together in group sessions that provide valuable opportunities for interaction and building friendships, as well as for learning new skills and for building mental and physical well-being.

Our seven-day-a-week programme offers different activities every day, including:

  • arts and crafts
  • fishing
  • gardening
  • gym and keep fit sessions
  • music sessions
  • nature walks including wildlife photography
  • painting and decorating skills
  • pottery
  • woodwork.

As well as our own in-house day activities programme, we also take advantage of community-based opportunities. At Ilfracombe, for example, our service users attend Pilates classes and a water aerobics class, which is integrated with a mainstream class, and these activities bring real benefits to their confidence and mobility.

We can also research and source other activities that service users would like to take part in but that are not currently available.
