Physical disabilities

At Larkstone Supported Living, we recognise the confidence and skills-building value of accessible, safe and comfortable accommodation for people with physical disabilities.

We offer supported living services in accommodation designed for people with mobility needs, and which can be further tailored to meet individual requirements, and flexible outreach services in clients’ own homes in the community.

In supporting our service users with physical disabilities to enjoy the best possible quality of life, we encourage and enable each person we work with to take responsibility for their own thinking, planning and actions – including taking reasonable risks – in the way that is most appropriate for them.

A key element of this approach is to involve service users with physical disabilities in drawing up and implementing their own person-centred support plans, so that our services are tailored to their needs, wishes and aspirations.

We also promote independence through developing and maximising service users’ opportunities for meaningful activities and interaction with others, to build self-esteem, confidence and life skills.
